As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, Cold Stone Creamery, 7507 S. Power Road Suite 104 in Queen Creek, donated 50 percent of all its sales Sept. 7-11 to schools and nonprofit groups that help in the community.
An individual group was designated to receive its share of a specified day’s sales.
The company raised a $3,650, store owner Joe Kolnick told the Queen Creek Independent in an e-mail.
The money was distributed as follows: $570 to Sossaman Middle and Williams Field High schools’ music programs; $480 to Cortina and Centennial elementary schools; $980 to Higley High School Best Buddies program; $1,000 to House of Refuge, Arizona State University East; and $620 to 100 Club of Arizona to assist families of police officers and fire personnel killed or injured in the line of duty.
