P&M Arena, 11404 E. Brown Road in Mesa, is accepting applications for its 2017 royalty court tryouts. Equestrians from Queen Creek and San Tan Valley may participate.
The tryouts will take place starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the arena. Contestants must try out on the horse she plans to use for her court year.
Contestants will perform a riding pattern, run a queen lap and provide a three- to five-minute long speech in front of the judges and audience about herself, her family and horse-related activities.
Applicants for the queen must be 20 and older; teen queen, between 14-19; princess, between 11-13; and flag carriers, 15 and older.
