The Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2016 Education Summit from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, at Communiversity of Queen Creek, 21740 S. Ellsworth Road.
Businesses who hired young adults are encouraged to join with area educators to discuss how best to prepare teenagers, especially graduation high school seniors, to enter the workforce.
The first summit was held in September and highlighted several key areas the community needed to focus on to help local children succeed at work or college. The chamber’s education committee has been working hard to bring that information together with action steps.
“Now it’s time to bring educators and employers together again to refine those steps and work on implementation. Please join us as we work to bring additional resources to our schools and improve the economic opportunities for Queen Creek,” said chamber President/CEO Chris Clark.
