The Spring into QC event was hosted at Desert Mountain Park, 22201 S. Hawes Rd in Queen Creek. The event included a Color Splash event.
The Queen Creek 5 races will be held on Saturday, March 19, at Desert Mountain Park, 22201 S. Hawes Road. Offering a 5-mile, 5K and half-mile race, all of the races take place on the Queen Creek Wash Trail.
The trail will remain open to the public, but users should plan for increased traffic on the trail from Desert Mountain Park west to Power Road.
QC5 Race times:
7 a.m. – 5-mile
8 a.m. – 5K
9 a.m. – half-mile kids run
Registrations are still being accepted online and in-person during the race expo, with packet pickup from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Desert Mountain Park.
QC5 Race prices:
Half-mile kids run: $20 through race day
5K: $40 through race day
5-mile: $45 through race day
The races are part of the town’s Spring into QC event, happening after the QC5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., also at Desert Mountain Park. The free, fun-filled family event includes an egg hunt, color splash, tot spot and entertainment. Games including inflatables and pony rides, great food and shopping will be available for purchase.

The town of Queen Creek is seeking participants for Spring Into QC, an event that includes a community-wide yard sale, Taste the QC and general event vendors. It will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Desert Mountain Park, 22201 S. Hawes Road in Queen Creek.
Drawing more than 3,000 attendees are expected to participate in the activities, which include an egg hunt, color splash, fun run, food and shopping, according to a press release.
Taste the QC offers a variety of food sampling opportunities for restaurants and food vendors. Taste the QC vendors must be properly licensed and permitted and may provide up to four food items to taste. Vendor fees for the taste event are $25.
Commercial and nonprofit vendors are invited to participate in the general Spring into QC event. Vendor fees vary from $75 to $125 based on type of booth.
A community-wide yard sale will happen in conjunction with the Spring into QC event. Individuals interested in selling used furniture, household goods, clothing and other yard-sale type items are invited to purchase a booth space for $25.
All booth spaces are 10 foot by 10 foot in size, and vendors are responsible for their own supplies. Information regarding vendor fees and applications are available online.
The deadline for all vendor registration is Feb. 11.
