Mountain Vista Medical Center to hold orthopaedic seminar in STV

Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa will hold free orthopaedic events in San Tan Valley and Gilbert, offering the opportunity to learn more about fighting osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis in the U.S., which is also referred to as “wear and tear” arthritis. Physician Brian McWhorter, D.O., will lead two specialized seminars with the help of Tim Bert, M.D., Kirk Bowden, D.O., and Andrew Wellman, M.D.

The seminars are:

  • Combat Osteoarthritis and Other Joint Pain, 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at  Encanterra Golf Club, 36460 N. Encanterra Drive in San Tan Valley, where attendees will learn about the origins of joint pain, including osteoarthritis, and the minimally invasive procedures to relieve, reduce or manage pain, as well as other treatment options that will help individuals stay active.
  • Heal Hip, Knee and Other Common Joint Pains, 9-10:30 a.m.  Thursday, Dec. 10, at Hyatt Place, 3275 S. Market St. in Gilbert, zeroing in on the hip and knee, with participants learning about treatment options to offset pain and help heal common joint discomfort.
