Prepare a teen for the workforce; attend the April 19 education summit

Want to help a Queen Creek teenager find a good job or do well in college? The Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce will discuss how to do just that at its 2016 Education Summit from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, at Communiversity of Queen Creek, 21740 S. Ellsworth Road.

Businesses who hired young adults are encouraged to join with area educators to discuss how best to prepare teenagers, especially graduation high school seniors, to enter the workforce.

The first summit was held in September and highlighted several key areas the community needed to focus on to help local children succeed at work or college. The chamber’s education committee has been working hard to bring that information together with action steps.

“Now it’s time to bring educators and employers together again to refine those steps and work on implementation. ¬†Please¬†join us as we work to bring additional resources to our schools and improve the economic opportunities for Queen Creek,” said chamber President/CEO Chris Clark.
