Queen Creek eatery update: Denny’s, Mod Pizza, Red Robin

Two eateries are celebrating their new locations in Queen Creek this month, with another planning to open in July.

Denny’s Queen Creek, 20995 E. Rittenhouse Road in the Cornerstone at Queen Creek shopping center, will hold a grand opening celebration starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, according to a press release.

During the celebration, Denny’s will offer select diner classics at a reduced price, according to a press release. For $2.99, guests can enjoy Denny’s Original Grand Slam, which includes two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs cooked to order, two bacon strips and two sausage links. Value will also be offered during lunch, dinner and anytime in between with The Super Bird for just $3.99 and the country-fried steak dinner for $5.99. The prize wheel will be spinning for a chance to win hundreds of prizes during the celebration.

“As America’s diner, Denny’s guests have come to our diners to sit back, relax and enjoy delicious, hearty meals for more than 60 years. We hope to bring that same sense of community to Queen Creek with this new restaurant,” District Manager Jeffery Phillips said in the release. “From breakfast any time to satisfying lunches and dinners, if hungry fans are in the mood for it, chances are we’re serving it.”

The diner has created more than 90 jobs in the community.

Mod Pizza

Mod Pizza will open its Queen Creek restaurant at noon on Thursday, June 30, at 21295 S. Ellsworth Loop Road Suite 101 in the QC District shopping center, according to a Facebook post.

(Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story said June 30 was on a Friday. It should have said Thursday.)

The grand opening celebration will offer free pizza to the first 52 patrons in line and will include a drawing to win free pizza for a year as well as other giveaways.

One-hundred percent of pizza sales that day will be donated to the Save the Family Foundation of Arizona, according to the post.

The restaurant chain is accepting job applications online. Among the jobs posted on June 17 on the site were for line cooks, servers, bartenders, bussers, front of the house help and kitchen preparation.
