The town of Queen Creek recently received the 2015 Universal Public Procurement Certification Council award in the Small Agency category for its commitment and dedication to the profession and for the skills and expertise it brings to the public procurement industry, according to a press release.
The award was created to formally recognize an agency’s commitment to the value of certification in the public sector.

“This recognition is a testament to the dedicated and professional staff in the finance department,” Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney said in the release. “Having certified staff increases the level of expertise. It is important that we have qualified staff performing the purchasing duties on behalf of the town, and this award indicates that we do.”
