Tickets on sale for Oct. 17 Giddy Up Gala fundraiser

The Community Alliance Against Family Abuse, the nonprofit domestic and sexual violence service provider serving Northern Pinal and far Eastern Maricopa Counties, will hold its annual dinner dance fundraiser, the Giddy Up Gala, on Saturday, Oct. 17. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Dolce Vita Resort, 3301 S. Goldfield Road in Apache Junction.

“This is the first year our theme is the Giddy Up Gala and we are looking forward to an awesome event,” CAAFA Executive Director Carol Minisee said in a press release. “It is the perfect opportunity for us to let our hair down and work to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault at the same time. We couldn’t do it without the amazing support of so many community members and organizations who always strive to help us improve the lives of the people we serve.”

Tickets to the gala will include a barbeque and side dishes, drinks, entertainment by a live band, a silent auction, awards for best dressed and dancing.

Tickets can be purchased online or at CAAFA’s office at 185 N. Apache Trail Suite 1 in Apache Junction, next door to Best Hardware.

Tickets are $25 each or $225 for a table of 10.

CAAFA provides a tollfree, 24-hour crisis line, empowerment sessions, legal advocacy, support groups, emergency shelter services, advocacy and community education and outreach that touch thousands of community members and domestic and sexual violence victims each year, according to the release.

The Giddy Up Gala helps to ensure that CAAFA can continue to maintain and grow their services, all of which are available free of charge.
