FUSD hosts its third unified track meet

The Florence Unified School District Unified Sports Program held its third annual track meet at Poston Butte High School. Unified sports athletes from Florence High, Poston Butte, Queen Creek High, Higley High, Chandler High, Perry High, Hamilton High, Basha High, Payne Junior High, Willis Junior High and San Tan Heights Elementary competed in a series of events.

All students were encouraged to top their personal bests in all of the events. No specific winners were crowned because in this group, they are all winners. For more information about the program visit the website at http://www.fusdaz.com/departments/exceptional-student-services.

“The Unified Sports Program in the Florence Unified School District has done incredible things for our students for years. We are proud of all of our athletes and thank all the schools who attended.” FUSD superintendent Dr. Amy Fuller said.

The Queen Creek Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
