Bronze High Schools in Florence Unified District

On May 12, the Florence Unified School District was notified that Florence High School and Poston Butte High School were named Bronze High Schools by the U.S. News and World Report. This award places FHS and PBHS amongst the top schools in the nation, as not all schools are awarded, according to a press release.
This award, “includes schools that met state test performance criteria, but have not yet demonstrated high levels of measurable college readiness since their CRI values are less than the CRI median or they don’t offer AP or IB programs at all,” according to the US News website.
The full list of high schools and their national ranking can be found here.
“We are so very proud of Florence and Poston Butte. They have both come such a long way to now represent the entire state as Best High Schools in the Nation.” Folorence superintendent, Dr. Amy Fuller said.
