Combs Middle School students honored by Kiwanis club

The principle core of the Kiwanis Mission is the belief that the most effective way to enhance the community is to enhance its children.  Great things happen when you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed.

Within the school setting, the Kiwanis Club of Queen Creek recognizes students at Combs Middle School monthly for their outstanding accomplishments.  CMS teachers nominate students in seventh and eighth grades with their criteria focusing on academic success, regular attendance at school, treating others with dignity/respect, and citizenship.  The Kiwanis Club of Queen Creek then celebrates those selected honorees by presenting them with a plaque, various gift certificates, a student of the month bumper sticker, and a student dictionary.

Partnerships between the community and local schools are important to the success of our students.

Mr. Mauro, Combs Middle School Principal, thanks the Kiwanis Club of Queen Creek for this partnership and congratulates the middle school students who earn this recognition.

The Queen Creek Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
