The Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation is hosting its third annual Running Dead 5K race in October and is seeking event sponsors.

The event will take place Oct. 25, according to a press release. It is held in conjunction with the town of Queen Creek’s annual Trunk or Treat Halloween event and had more than 5,000 attendees and 150 participants last year, according to the release.

Local businesses can support the race and local schools with partnership opportunities. The foundation is a registered nonprofit and any donations are tax deductible.

The Queen Creek Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
