FUSD swears in new board member

Jim Thomas, former Florence Unified School District school board president and longtime member, was sworn in to serve on the FUSD School Board once again. Mr. Thomas retired from the board in 2015 after 12 years of service.

He was sworn in to fill the vacated position left by former board member Janeane Candelaria who resigned in 2016 for personal reasons.
Mr. Thomas was appointed by Pinal County Superintendent Jill Broussard.

“We are so grateful to have Mr. Jim Thomas back on the board. His experience and dedication to putting kids first is something we value,” FUSD superintendent Dr. Amy Fuller said.
