FUSD wins at SARSEF competition on March 5

Students from across the Florence Unified School District earned recognition at the 2016 Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation competition. Students were honored at the March 5 awards ceremony. This year, every school in the district had at least one winner.
A total of 22 students across the district earned first place in categories that ranged from “The best way to preserve meat” to “Windmill Electricity” and everything in between.

“The students who won are wonderful examples of hard work. We appreciate all of the time that their teachers spent with them and for being positive educational role models,” FUSD superintendent Dr. Amy Fuller said.
