Harmon Elementary hosts career day

Harmon Elementary, 39315 N. Cortona Drive in San Tan Valley hosted its first-ever career fair on May 4. Students were able to interview professionals from a variety of careers and learn about what it takes to be successful on the job.

Local professionals and business owners excitedly shared stories from their work experiences, including San Tan Valley Rural Metro firefighters, a corrections officer, rodeo clowns and roper, a musician, a physical therapist, an event planner, a film producer, and an American Sign Language interpreter.

Harmon Elementary students and teachers enjoyed the event so much that plans are already in the works for future career fairs.

The Queen Creek Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
