Ranch Elementary teacher receives grant for puppet theater

Ranch Elementary teacher Ms. Black recently earned funding at DonorsChoose.org for a classroom project called “Puppet Theater for Dramatic Play in Kindergarten,” according to a press release.

Ms. Black wrote in the release, “Dramatic play is such an important part of kindergarten. I like to make sure I include plenty of it in the schedule for each day. Puppet theater is one of the easiest, most exciting ways kids can learn about each other, practice what they are learning in school, and discover things about themselves through hands-on, sensory rich playtime.”

At the free nonprofit website teachers at the school can receive funding for student resources.

Ms. Kruse, Ms. Black and her students are thankful for the grant they received from DonorsChoose.org and the individual donors for their support of the teachers and students in the J.O. Combs community.
