Second-grade students at Ranch Elementary School, 43521 N. Kenworthy Road in Queen Creek, learned the importance of a ruler and why it was invented after reading the story “How Big is a Foot?” by Rolf Myller.  Students had the chance to explore some of the things that happened in the story with their classmates by creating their own beds for a queen.  Each bed turned out to be a different size due to the fact that each child’s foot is a different size.

The Queen Creek Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
