Simonton Elementary encourages student leadership

First grade students at Simonton Elementary, 40300 N Simonton Blvd, San Tan Valley, are proud to be a part of “Leader in Me” school. Students apply the seven habits daily through modeled instruction, practice, and leadership roles. They are assigned a weekly classroom leadership position. Students are also given the opportunity to fill out leadership applications for campus jobs. All students are leaders and are an important part of their school.

The students practice “Beginning with the End in Mind” by planning ahead and setting goals. They have each set personal, academic, and future goals. Students have been using Leadership Notebooks to track the progress towards their academic goals.

The Queen Creek Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
