Need a crash course in clown behavior, or a chance to soar through the air on a flying trapeze? The town of Queen Creek will host a circus-themed block party, a community-wide celebration set from noon to 6 p.m. for March 5 in Queen Creek’s Town Center.

This second annual block party will feature an array of interactive activities for the whole family – except for the fire breathers, who will be for entertainment purposes only. Additional draws of the free-to-attend event will include a kid zone, circus-themed snacks, shopping opportunities and live music from Laura Walsh, Smith & Walden, Arizona Moonshine and other area performers.

“We are looking forward to this wonderful opportunity to bring the community together,” Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney said in a press release. “Quality events are an important factor of quality of life, and we are excited to see our second annual block party develop into a unique, family-friendly event.”

Last year’s inaugural block party saw hundreds of children and adults gather in Town Center, and this year’s event will likely draw an even larger crowd thanks to its lengthy lineup of circus-themed fanfares, awe-inspiring performers and entertainment opportunities for the entire family.

Vendor applications for goods and sales are still being accepted; all food vendor spots have been filled. Contact Jennifer Chambers at for vendor information.
