Drumming techniques help reduce stress

The Queen Creek Public Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road, is hosting a monthly Healthrhythms Drumming class for women.  The event is at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 9, March 8, April 12, and May 10.

The word rhythm in Greek means “to flow.” Drum circles are a positive community experience designed to enhance sense of community and support and self-realization, reduce tension, anxiety and stress, result in a positive medical impact, and release emotions. With all instruments provided and no musical or drumming experience necessary, this is a great program for all women.

Seats and instruments are limited, so seats will be made available to walk-ins on a first-come, first served basis the day of the event.

The Queen Creek Branch Library is part of the Maricopa County Library District. For more information, call 602-652-3000 and ask for the Queen Creek branch.
