Calling all teen zombie enthusiasts to make zombie movies. The town of Queen Creek and Cornerstone Church are offering a free evening of zombie fun for youths ages 12-19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Queen Creek Recreation Annex, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road.

Actors and directors are needed to help make gruesome, ghastly or drop-dead funny zombie films. They do not need to live in Queen Creek to participate.

Directors are invited to bring their own scripts or come and use a provided script. Directors will compete for the grand prize of a $100 Visa gift card.

Actors are invited to come in costume or just show up. Make-up and props will be available for use.

Not only will Oct. 1 be a night filled with frightening fun, the movies created will be debuted at the town’s annual Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 22 on Ellsworth Road in Town Center. Those who cannot attend the zombie filming night can still submit an entry for the Zombie Film Festival online.

Entries must be appropriate, under five minutes and created by teens ages 12-19. The deadline for submission is Friday, Oct. 14.
