Five years ago this week the top news stories for the Dec. 8, 2010, Queen Creek Independent, included: A year from now there could be up to 124 medical marijuana dispensaries operating throughout the state of Arizona. The East Valley will be no exception, officials say.

The Queen Creek Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
