The town of Queen Creek is gearing up to finish a multiuse trail connecting the existing cement path from Desert Mountain Park at Ocotillo and Hawes roads to Ellsworth Road.

With primary funding coming through the Arizona Department of Transportation Enhancement Fund, Queen Creek Parks Management Assistant Lisa Padilla says cost to the town is minimal. ADOT is providing $610,459 and the town of Queen Creek has a 5.7 percent match in tandem totaling $36,899, the application shows.
