More than 1,700 SRP customers in Queen Creek were without power

About 1,755 Salt River Project customers in Queen Creek were without electricity this morning after an SRP substation circuit breaker was tripped, according to a post on the town of Queen Creek’s Facebook page.

The outage occurred at 10:41 a.m. June 9, according to the SRP outage page on its website.

SRP had estimated the power to be restored by 12:45 p.m. today, according to the power utility’s website; however, the outage page at 11:30 a.m. indicated all power had been restored.

Power to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Queen Creek District 6 substation at 22308 S. Ellsworth Road was off for only five minutes, Capt. Dave Munley said during a phone interview.

The following areas were impacted:

•Crismon Road to Sossaman Road and south of Cloud Road to south of Queen Creek Road. About 710 customers affected.

•216th Street (alignment) to Hawes Road and Village Loop South to Queen Creek Road. About 393 customers affected.

•Rittenhouse Road to Hawes Road and north of Cloud Road to Queen Creek Road. About 373 customers affected.

•Ellsworth Road to Sossaman Road and Chandler Heights Road to south of Queen Creek Road. About 170 customers affected.

•216th Street (alignment) to Hawes Road and Village Loop South to Queen Creek Road. About 109 customers affected.
