Jake Hoffman
Age: 30
Education: I hold a Master of Business Administration graduate degree from Northwest Christian University and a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree from Arizona State University.
Present or most recent business/employment: I currently serve as the executive director of a faith-based 501(c)3 charity called E3 Africa that provides educational services to children in the war-torn region of Northern Uganda. Additionally, I am a communications and media consultant and Realtor.
Previous public office, boards and commissions (and what years): I have previously served as an elected member of the Higley Unified School District, 2013-15; appointed member of Congressman Matt Salmon’s Education Advisory Council, 2013-present; and as a member of the Queen Creek Law Enforcement Master Plan Update citizen advisory committee, 2015.
If elected, what will you accomplish in your first 100 days in office?: Recently, I’ve had hundreds of conversations with Queen Creek citizens and the feedback is the same in nearly every conversation — we need roads and we needed them yesterday, we need to have an active focus on reducing debt, we need to do a better job serving our local small businesses and we need to do more to preserve our small town character. I’m running for town council to be an advocate for your ideas and if I’m elected, regardless of whether it’s on day 100 or day 1,000 I will champion the priorities that matter most to you and fight to make sure Queen Creek works hard on your behalf.
What are your hopes for the town of Queen Creek?: Our future is incredibly bright and I know that together Queen Creek can become the most prosperous, vibrant and amazing community to call home in Arizona. My hope is that we have collaborative council members with the vision and expertise to seize those opportunities and create a truly one-of-a-kind place to raise a family and grow a business.
