Ficker, Naqvi appointed to Queen Creek Transportation Advisory Committee

John Ficker and Ali Naqvi have been appointed to the Queen Creek Transportation Advisory Committee by the Queen Creek Town Council during its March 16 Council meeting. While appointments are two-year terms, the men will each serve terms expiring on Aug. 31, 2017, to coincide with other committee appointments, according to a press release.

Mr. Ficker worked in the transportation field at the state and federal level. He serves on the Gilbert Rotary Club and as the past president of the National Industrial Transportation League.

Mr. Naqvi recently retired and wants to apply his experience with planning and budgeting to benefit the town, according to the release.

The purpose of the TAC is to review the town’s transportation planning efforts (including the Capital Improvement Program) and to serve as ambassadors to residents on all things related to transportation.

TAC meets monthly to discuss transportation-related projects and programs, and makes recommendations to the town council on those matters.
