LOGO Mobile On-Site Mammography

Mobile On-Site Mammography will be coming to Queen Creek from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, to offer the newest digital mammography technology for early detection breast cancer screenings.

Exams will take place at Queen Creek Town Hall, 22350 S. Ellsworth Road. Appointments are required. To schedule an appointment, call 480-967-3767. Callers need to have the following items when scheduling an appointment: insurance card, doctor’s name and address and the location of where the caller had her or his prior mammogram films. Also, men and patients under 30 must provide a doctor’s referral to make an appointment.

Accepted insurance includes United HealthCare, BlueCross BlueShield, CIGNA, AETNA and Health Net, according to a press release. Participants should consult her or his individual plan for specific coverage and limitations. She or he will be responsible for any charges that are not covered. The cost without insurance is $167 and include the radiologist reading.

Baseline mammograms are recommended at age 35-39 (unless family history or symptomatic) and most insurance plans cover women every year over 40 years old, according to the release. MOM is now able to accommodate breast implant patients.
