QCUSD approved boundary changes for next year

Queen Creek Unified School District announced on Dec. 1, the QCUSD Governing Board approved the attendance boundary changes for the 2016-17 school year. The approved boundary changes are described below:

Desert Mountain Elementary School and Queen Creek Elementary School will become the feeder schools into Newell Barney Middle School.
Eighth grade only students from Gateway Polytechnic Academy, all sixth thru eighth grade students from the Jack Barnes Elementary School, and all sixth thru eighth grade students from the Frances Brandon Pickett a will become the feeder schools/students into the new middle school, the current QCMS.

If parents wish to send students to a QCUSD school outside home boundaries, they will need to complete an open enrollment application. More information regarding open enrollment is coming soon. Please understand that if a child is accepted for Open Enrollment, parents will be solely responsible for transporting their children to and from school. Transportation is only provided for students within the respective boundaries of their home school.
