Queen Creek’s primary election for three town council seats was held on Aug. 30. In order to secure a seat on the town council during a primary election, a candidate was required to receive at least 2,380 votes, based on the total number of votes cast.

Final unofficial election results show that incumbent Jeff Brown was re-elected. Incumbents Craig Barnes and Robin Benning, and candidates Matt McWilliams and Jake Hoffman will move onto a runoff for the two remaining town council seats during the November general election, according to a press release.

Final unofficial election results include town of Queen Creek resident votes from both Maricopa and Pinal counties.

The new town council will be seated during the first meeting in January 2017.
