Queen Creek town offices to remain open on New Year’s Eve, recreation annex to close

The town of Queen Creek offices will remain open Thursday, Dec. 31; however, the Queen Creek Recreation Annex, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road, will be closed and remain closed through Saturday, Jan 2.

Public safety and emergency services in addition to trash and recycling services will not be impacted on New Year’s Eve. Residents in Zone 3 will need to have their carts out by 6 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 for service. As a reminder, residents may schedule bulk trash services online.

Normal business hours for the town are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday- Thursday; closed Friday-Sunday. Regular business hours for the recreation annex are 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday- Thursday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday; closed Saturday and Sunday.

The town of Queen Creek offers free recycling services for Christmas trees, old electronics and cooking oil. Tree recycling will be available on Jan. 2 and Jan. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Queen Creek Recycle Center (on the southwest corner of Ellsworth Road and Crewse Lane).

The Jan. 9 drop-off will also include an opportunity to recycle electronics. The town offers recycling for used cooking oil and grease year-round.

Blue collection barrels are available at both fire stations at 22407 S. Ellsworth Road and 24787 S. Sossaman Road. Visit QueenCreek.org/Recycling to learn more about the programs.
