Queen Creek traffic advisory: March 20-27

Traveling through Queen Creek this week? You’ll want to know about these traffic alerts issued by the town of Queen Creek for March 20-27.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the work, dates and times are subject to change without prior notice. Motorists are encouraged to obey all posted signs, traffic control devices and directions from law enforcement officers or flaggers who are controlling traffic.

Summary of local traffic restrictions:

  1. Chandler Heights Road and Sossaman Road Intersection Improvements –  Shoulder closure for drainage, paving and traffic signal improvements will be in place on Chandler Heights Road from Power Road to 196th Street and Sossaman Road from Via Del Jardin to Via De Olivos. This restriction will be in place during non-peak hours (8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) from Feb. 27 to May 24. 
  2. Ellsworth Road – Ocotillo Road to Crewse Road – Northbound and southbound lane shifts will be in place on Ellsworth Road for boring and excavating work. This restriction will be in place from 7 a.m. -4 p.m. from Feb. 29 to April 1. 
  3. Ellsworth Road – Ryan Road to Germann Road– A southbound shoulder closure will be in place on Ellsworth Road for demolition work, utility work, grading, curb and gutter and sidewalk. This restriction will be in place for 24 hours a day from Feb. 17 to July 15. 
  4. Ellsworth Road – Ryan Road to Germann Road– A northbound right lane closure will be in place on Ellsworth Road for concrete removal and temporary pavement installation. This restriction will be in place during non-peak hours (8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) from March 22 to March 30. 
  5. Maya Road – Ellsworth Road to Ellsworth Loop Road – A shoulder closure will be in place on Maya Road for sidewalk, curb and water line work. This restriction will be in place for 24 hours a day from March 10 to March 25. 
  6. Ocotillo Road & 228th Street – Eastbound and westbound lane shifts will be in place on Ocotillo Road for concrete work. This restriction will be in place during non-peak hours (8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) on March 24. 
  7. Ocotillo Road – Recker Road to 178th Street – A westbound shoulder closure will be in place on Ocotillo Road for road improvements. This restriction will be in place for 24 hours a day from March 14 to April 15. 
  8.  Power Road & Riggs Road – Northbound and southbound lane shifts will be in place on Power Road for road work. This restriction will be in place during non-peak hours (8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) from March 14 to March 25. 
  9. Rittenhouse Road & Ocotillo Road – Westbound right lane closure will be in place on Rittenhouse Road for concrete work. This restriction will be in place during non-peak hours (8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) on March 24.

Utility Work for Phase 3 of Hunt Highway Improvement Project

Pinal County Public Works is alerting drivers along Hunt Highway that several Public Utilities will be working on relocations required for the widening project between Stone Creek Drive and Bella Vista Road. Work is expected to last through the next three months.  Soon to follow will be road construction work in the summer. Drivers please plan ahead and use caution.  Anticipate speed reductions and temporary shoulder/lane closures during the relocation construction.
