Letter writer Shorte: ‘Thank you’ has become obsolete

It is becoming more obvious the soul of America is being invaded. Every new generation is less and less able to understand certain words and/or customs. “Thank you” has become obsolete; and polite, thoughtful, careful words and actions are limited to “older” generations only.

Theft from neighbors’ doorsteps is not important enough for police to make a full report, for HOAs to announce a security patrol or neighbors to alert neighbors.

Even a known funeral is in progress is protection from theft right off a doorstep from some low-life, kind-of-renter or owner.

When Americans of today’s world recognize the importance of remembering the history of 1776 and restoring the values of a united people, will the present and future be able to actually live in peace as promised.
F. P. Shorte
