OPINION: Pan de Vida founder grateful for donations

Good news and pride God, for He is working thought the hands of some wonderfully generous people.

Thanks to those of you who took it upon yourselves to let me know that I could count on you for your donation.  Since yesterday (Nov. 28), Pan de Vida Foundation has a promised $2,800 for the community center lots ($8,000-$2,800 equals $5,200). More to go.

For those of you who are thinking about donating, please think no more, just do it.

Please give what you can give. If enough people give a little bit, we should have the total amount by Dec. 15, the due date.

Please help.

And remember, you are now able to donate up to $400 for individuals and $800 for those filing jointly. This amount has doubled from last year. The “Charitable Tax Credit” makes it possible to receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit for the total amount you donate up to that amount.

Also, you are allowed to give to a school for education and to Pan de Vida Foundation where your donation goes to the working poor. Let’s see how far we can get this depth paid off.

Thank you and blessings for the lives you will help transform.
Mary Gloria
Pan de Vida Foundation

Editor’s note: Mary Gloria e-mailed a follow-up letter Dec. 1 informing donors that the organization had raised $16,825.  Her letters were written in response to an e-mail she had sent asking for donations to raise $20,000 to pay for two lots in the Valley of the Sun Estates on which Pan de Vida plans to build a community center in a blighted neighborhood. In her first e-mail, Ms. Gloria said the nonprofit organization had raised $6,000 and that it had $2,000 in earnest money, for a total of $8,000. To donate, mail a check to Pan de Vida Foundation, PO Box 745, Queen Creek, AZ 85142. For more information call 480-688-6326 or e-mail mary.gloria@pandevida.tv.
