Lingering shower activity through the morning hours

Plan on some lingering shower activity through the morning hours mainly across the higher terrain locales north and east of the Valley, according to the Flood Control District of Maricopa County‘s forecast.

“Clearing conditions will overspread the region from west to east as the bulk of the system moves out of the state. Daytime temperatures will level off in the mid to upper 70s around the Valley under generally sunny conditions. West winds will be breezy at times in the 7-12 mph range with localized gusts approaching 15-20 mph especially across the western forecast zones. Heading into the weekend plan on sunny and dry conditions as high pressure builds across the region. Daytime highs will reach the upper 70s to around 80˚F for Saturday and then back into the low 80s for Sunday. The next weather system to affect the region is slated for mid-next week,” D. Henz of the flood control district wrote in a weather outlook for Maricopa County.
