The Maricopa County Department of Transportation  is installing new traffic signals, left turn lanes and widening the intersection of Elliot and Sossaman roads to improve traffic flow and safety.

As part of the construction, Sossaman Road will be closed at Elliot Road from 5 a.m., Friday, Oct. 23, to 5 a.m., Monday, Oct. 26, according to a press release.

Northbound and southbound traffic on Sossaman Road will not be permitted to cross Elliot Road.  Eastbound and westbound Elliot Road will remain open.

MCDOT officials ask drivers to obey traffic control signs and to allow extra time to get where they are going as there may be traffic delays.
