Pinal County to resume issuance of open burn permits Sept. 24



Starting Sept. 24, Pinal County Air Quality will resume issuing open burning permits to most areas.

Burn permits allow for the disposal of plant material by open burning during limited daytime hours.

State law prohibits open burning in Area A from May 1 thru Sept. 30. The Pinal County portion of Area A includes Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley and portions of Florence. These areas will see open burning permit issuance will begin on Oct. 1.
