Slight chance of rain showers Thursday

Today plan on another quiet day with off and on passing high clouds. Daytime highs will climb into the mid to upper 80s around the Valley, according to the Flood Control District of Maricopa County‘s forecast.

“Variable winds will generally remain in the 3-7 mph range with localized afternoon/evening gusts around 10-15 mph. Heading into Wednesday, expecting a noticeable uptick in cloudiness ahead of the approaching disturbance for Thursday. Daytime temperatures will cool a few degrees into the mid 80s around the Valley. An early look at Thursday reveals slight chances for light showers mainly across the eastern high terrain portions of the county associated with the passing weather system. High temperatures should take another step back into the low 80s to go along with breezier southwest winds,” D. Henz of the flood control district said.
