The Queen Fire and Medical Department does a lot more than fight fires. Learn about the various tasks performed by its staff — from medical response and preventing drowning incidents to community education — during the live Facebook question and answer session. It will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, on the town’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/QueenCreek.

Residents are invited to ask questions or simply follow the conversation. QCFMD Chief Ron Knight and Deputy Chief Vance Gray will be ready to share important information about the department.

“Safety is our number one priority,” Chief Knight said in a press release. “We are excited to chat with residents about the different components of the fire department as well as answer any questions. The Q&A is a great opportunity to reach people when and where it is convenient for them. We want our residents to be engaged and understand the scope of our services, and we are always looking for opportunities to provide safety information.”

The Q&A session will last for 30 minutes, and questions will be taken live on the town’s Facebook page. Every question may not be answered due to time constraints.

The Q&A will give residents the opportunity to ask questions as well as obtain information about how the fire and medical department works.
