More Star Students shine in Queen Creek

Eighteen local middle and high school students were recognized by the Queen Creek Town Council at the May 18 Star Students ceremony.

The town’s Star Students program recognizes students who are helpful and considerate of others while demonstrating good citizenship. Teachers at participating schools nominate students to be recognized during the ceremony.

The town council honored the following students:

•Benjamin Franklin High School: Tanner Jacobson, Leah LaMont and Jesse Thatcher.

•Casteel High School: Cooper J. Christensen and Alexandra Hernandez.

•Heritage Academy Gateway: Paige Galloway, Jaycee Graffius, John Martinez and Bradley Matheson.

Queen Creek salutes Star Students during May 4 ceremony

The Queen Creek Town Council honored 46 local elementary students at the May 4 Star Students ceremony held at the Queen Creek Town Hall, 22350 S. Ellsworth Road.

The ceremony recognized elementary school students who go above and beyond, obey rules and demonstrate good citizenship. Teachers at participating schools nominate students to be recognized during the ceremony.

The following students were honored:

•American Leadership Academy Ironwood Campus: Ally Bawden, Rylyn Brown, Aleena Figueroa, Jakob Jones and Kolby Post.

•American Leadership Academy Queen Creek Elementary: Mary Jane Chandler, Lyndsay Gardner, Karli Merril, James Powell and Hollynd Shope.

Queen Creek Star Students recognized during town council ceremony

Thirty-nine students who go above and beyond were honored by the Queen Creek Town Council on Feb. 3 during the Star Students ceremony. Each participating school is invited to select students to be recognized. Students were nominated by their teachers for displaying citizenship, service and integrity, according to a press release.

The following students were recognized:
